At just 19 years old, Chrissy Palmer was one of the top Formula Ford drivers in the UK in 2009. After a successful season culminating in 4th place in the British Formula Ford Championship and a winning drive at the Brands Formula Ford Festival, Chrissy is has been selected for the BRDC SuperStars Programme. This announcement comes hot on the heels of the news that he has joined the Fortec Motorsport team to compete in the 2010 Formula Renault UK Championship.

Chrissy won the Formula Ford Festival, BRSCC’s "Blue Riband" event on the same day as Jenson Button became Formula 1 World Champion in Brazil, becoming the first Formula Ford Festival winner (1998) to go on to achieve the highest honour in motor sport. Could this be an omen for Chrissy?

Chrissy secures a drive with top team Fortec Motorsport in the 2010 Formula Renault UK Championship.

Chrissy has joined the Fortec Motorsport team alongside Tom Blonqvist, Alex Lynn and Ollie Milroy to drive in the Formula Renault UK 2010 series.
